These pillars form the foundation of the CDW approach to fitness.

Fun

Exercise no longer needs to feel like a chore, it can become fun! You’re never going to stay consistent with something you don’t enjoy, so making it a fun activity through environment, exercise choices, music, and who you’re working out with all supports a sustainable relationship with exercise.

Feeling

Holistic fitness asks how you feel and encourages you to attune your workout in alignment. For example, if you had a bad night of sleep and felt very tired, then a high-intensity workout could lead to injury and contribute to even greater fatigue. Instead, lowering the intensity of the workout and honouring rest would be much more beneficial. It’s about learning to listen to your body and taking aligned action.

Feeling also refers to how exercise makes you feel, empowered, confident, and energised.

Function

Where mainstream fitness measures progress solely through body-based metrics such as fat loss, holistic fitness focuses on the functionality of your body and the exercise program.

We will track these measures through variables such as:

  • reps

  • sets

  • resistance

  • time

  • tempo

  • frequency

What do you mean by .

‘holistic’?

CDW personal training is holistic as it takes into consideration several factors:

Environment: Creating a welcoming space that elevates your well-being through its calming decor, candles, and essential oils scents.

Adaptations in real-time: Depending on how you’re feeling from moment to moment, you’ll be supported to make shifts to meet you where you are, so that you gain the most from each session.

Weekly well-being check-ins: Each week you'll be invited to reflect on how you’ve felt during the week. Looking at things like sleep and stress levels to help build a picture of your holistic well-being.

Mental health: Is always prioritised, you will be held in a supportive coaching dynamic that has your best interest in mind.

In Person at Ria’s Workshop

Your in-person sessions are held in the beautiful studio located at Ria’s Workshop on the outskirts of Axminster, Devon. The beautifully inviting studio is decorated with earthy textures and neutral tones, creating a soothing environment as soon as you walk in.

You’ll notice beautiful soft scents created with love by Ria and her team which enhance the experience and deepen your sense of calm and inner peace.

This is a boutique personal training experience and your workouts are created with working out from the comfort of your home in mind. Therefore the equipment you will have access to during your training sessions are:

  • Kettlebells

  • Dumbbells

  • Resistance bands

  • Sliders

  • Loop Bands

  • Fitness Ball

  • Foam Rollers

CDW App for in between sessions

For the days in between our weekly in-person training, you will have access to the CDW app. Here you will find a personalised program of home workouts tailored to you.

This is also our hub of communication where you can message Cat any questions during office hours.

I am so glad you’ve landed here, I have been working with people as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor for the past 6 years, holding space for their transformation.

My coaching style is gentle and encouraging. I believe in cultivating a sense of accountability within my clients, so they don’t have to rely on me forever.

I blend my experience as a professionally trained dancer, sports science graduate and personal trainer to deliver high-quality programs that make sure you get to where you desire to be.
